STAAR Redesign

HB 3261, in 2021, required the STAAR to be redesigned from a test that assessed our students' level of proficiency and understanding of the required TEKS. The newly designed STAAR will be aligned to the classroom experiences of our students. There will be fewer multiple-choice questions and more writing components that will allow students to reflect on the units of study.
