What is TIA?

The purpose of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is to support school districts in independently developing and sustaining strategic compensation systems that effectively differentiate and recognize teacher effectiveness. These systems are designed to incentivize teacher retention, strengthen recruitment efforts, and enhance the overall attractiveness of the teaching profession.

By retaining and attracting highly effective educators, TIA directly benefits students—the ultimate focus of Gonzales ISD—by ensuring consistent, high-quality instruction that positively impacts student achievement and growth.

This program aligns with and supports Gonzales ISD’s Strategic Vision for 2022–2027, specifically Goal Area 3: Recruiting, Inducting, and Retaining High-Quality Staff.
