Gonzales ISD English Learner / Emergent Bilingual Programs
Gonzales ISD provides dedicated support for English Learners (ELs), also known as Emergent Bilinguals (EBs), students whose primary language is not English. The district offers Bilingual programming for grades PreK–5 and English as a Second Language (ESL) programming for grades 6–12, ensuring that all students have equitable access to high-quality instruction while developing both language proficiency and academic skills.
Here you can find key resources to support student success, including the English Learner Handbook, the Bilingual and ESL Programming Framework, and newsletters with important updates and information. These resources are designed to foster student growth, engagement, and achievement, reflecting Gonzales ISD’s commitment to empowering Emergent Bilinguals and supporting their families throughout the educational journey.
