Separation of Service
The following information is to provide guidance for exiting procedures for those concluding their employment at Gonzales ISD.
You must submit the following to your principal/supervisor:
- Submit a letter of resignation-must be signed/dated and include the effective date of your resignation.
- Employee Resignation/Retirement Form
- Exit Interview
Final Pay/Benefits: Copies of your exit paperwork will then be submitted to the HR Department and you will be contacted regarding your final payment and end of benefits.
TRS Refund (Optional) If you are interested in requesting a refund of your TRS member contributions, you may download the TRS 6 form from the TRS website. The form must be signed and notarized, then submitted/mailed directly to TRS.
Service Records Request - To request the release of your service record, please complete the Service Record Request Form and once submitted, Human Resources will process your request. If you have questions, please contact Karen Grauke at:

Retirement
Payroll and HR departments offer retirement information sessions in the spring to address district-specific topics such as contract payoffs, continuation of benefits and out-processing forms. So, whether you’re planning retirement at the end of the year, thinking about retiring in the near future, or simply weighing your options, these information sessions are designated with you in mind. Questions about TRS benefits or processes must be directed to TRS. Information sessions dates/time are communicated in early March via district email.
