DACA "Cheat" Sheet for FAFSA
This document was created by the Idaho DACA Students facebook group as a reference document for DACA students to utilize when filling out their FAFSA application. Once again, DACA students do not qualify for federal aid, but their FAFSA results may be beneficial in establishing a financial need for scholarship purposes.

FAFSA for DACA Students per Financial Aid Website
The attached document will help clarify some questions for DACAmented students. DACA students are not eligible to receive federal aid, but for scholarship purposes, you can still fill out your FAFSA so you can get a general overview of you expected family contribution(EFC), which many scholarship programs will utilize to determine financial need.

FAFSA Helpful Information
The attached sheet was created by Victoria College representatives to giuide you in filling out your FAFSA. It will guide you through the process of creating and FSA ID, to electronically sign your FAFSA form and tips to help you along the way. The second page also includes space for you to write down your login information as you go along the process.

State Aid - TASFA
If you are undocumented, DACAmented or otherwise do not qualify for federal financial aid, you may still qualify for state aid in Texas. The Texas Application for State Financial Aid is avaiable to students who may be seeking other financial assistance. Texas is one of a handful of states that offers state aid to students who do not qualify for federal fnancial aid. Each college has a varied application so be sure to do your research when applying to your college of choice. If you need any help, please see your school counselor or contact an admissions representative. The attached link will take you to Texas State's online page regarding TASFA.

Financial Aid - FAFSA
Need help with fuding for college? FAFSA is here to help. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is meant to try and help match students to any financial aid assistance that may be available to them. Applications must be completed each school year online. Students will be prompted for their parents financial information. Be prepared to answer those questions. Tax information can be linked electronically through the IRS.gov website to make the process run a little faster. Funds are limited so the sooner you complete your FAFSA, the better.
